Our Blessed Mother has a beautiful way of inviting us.

In Lourdes 1858,  Our Lady asked “Will you do me the favor of coming here for fifteen days?”  Bernadette’s “YES” paved the way for the entire divine plan for Lourdes.
In the same way in Fatima 1917 and Pontevedra, Spain 1925, Our Blessed Mother lamented and invited us to keep her company for a quarter of an hour while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary.

The First Saturdays devotion was requested by Our Lady of Fatima, who promised “to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who, in order to make reparation to me, on the First Saturday of five successive months, go to confession, receive Holy Communion, say five decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for a quarter of an hour, meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary.

TALK OF FATHER GABRIEL RÓNA, S.J.,
INTERNATIONAL COORDINATOR OF THE FLAME OF LOVE MOVEMENT
at the Third National Conference which took place in Montreal (Quebec), Canada

November 13, 2004 –

At the time of her first apparition at Fatima, the Virgin asked the children:

“Do you want to offer yourselves to God? Are you ready to accept the sufferings He will send you in
reparation for all the sins by which He has been offended?”

They answered: “Yes.”
“When you make some sacrifice, say: ‘My Jesus, it is for love of You … for the
conversion of sinners.’” This is how the Virgin taught the children to pray. Her last words at
Fatima were: “It is important that men convert and ask forgiveness for their sins. Do not
offend God any more, because He is already so much offended.”The below link is to the text of a presentation given by Father Gabriel Róna, SJ, in Montreal, Canada, on November 13, 2004 at the Third National Flame of Love Conference. At the time, Father Róna was the International Coordinator
of the Flame of Love Movement. Father Róna later served as the International Spiritual Advisor of the Flame of Love Movement between August 2008 and August 2012.

Fatima & The Flame of Love, The Third Act of Mercy

Jesus – “…The day her Flame of Love prevails, all the prayers and supplications addressed to her anywhere in the world will be joined in one single supplication for help. In this way, humanity will prostrate at the feet of the Mother of God to give her thanks for her unlimited maternal love.” (August 4 1963)
